These two stone-built houses to renovate are located on the edge of a small hamlet in the south of the province of Lugo. The historic buildings include a traditional courtyard with a well and a stone oven and two plots of land. Location:
The property is located on the edge of a small rural hamlet at only 2 km from the main village of Escairon, with all necessary amenities and services.  Within walking distance, you can find a lovely Romanesque church which is a good example of the many Romanesque churches and monasteries in the Ribeira Sacra region. The historical and lively town of Monforte de Lemos is located at 17 km from the property (at 20 minutes by car).
Monforte de Lemos offers a local hospital, large supermarkets, all kind of local shops, good restaurants, a lively night life, etc. This town was an important centre during the middle ages and many important monuments are testimony of the history in this town. Worth to visit are the impressive 17^th century building of “El Cardenal” (the small “Escorial”, with some paintings of El Greco), the castle, palace and monastery of the count of Lemos (today a “Parador” state owned Hotel), the convent of “Las Clarisas” with an important museum of sacred art and the medieval bridge over the river Cabe.
