The Ribeira Sacra offers a beautiful landscape with pretty river banks, terraced vineyards, green fields, leafy woods with chestnut and oak trees and many monuments of Romanesque art. The vineyards in the area  produce good quality wines made from Mencia (red) and Godello (white) grapes.
