This historical stone-built house of Galician architecture is located in the council of Panton in the heart of the Ribeira Sacra. This house is undoubtedly a good example of rural architecture in the province of Lugo. It is a large house built with impressive stone walls with a beautiful courtyard and a wooden balcony very characteristic of the old Galician farmhouses belonging to wealthy families. The property is located in the heart of the Ribeira Sacra in the council of Panton. Location:
The location is excellent in the heart of the Ribeira Sacra with all services less than 1 km away. The region is characterized by the large number of Romanesque monuments and a good part of them can be found in the council of Panton. A few metres from the house we already have a good example in the Romanesque church of the monastery of Santa Maria de Ferreira. It is the only monastery of nuns belonging to the Cistercian order in Galicia.
Also nearby (2 km) is the Iberik Aguas Santas spa, with a high quality 18-hole golf course. The surrounding area offers a beautiful natural landscape with vineyards, hills, forests and meadows.
At 22 km you can find a small marina in the village of Belesar, near the river Miño. This is the same river where you can find the picturesque river beach of A Cova (14 km).
About 10 km away is the lively medieval town of Monforte de Lemos (15 minutes by car). This town offers all necessary services, such as a regional hospital, hypermarkets, all kinds of shops, banks, schools, bars and restaurants, etc.
