Location
The property is located in a beautiful natural area in a valley at 2 km from the river Miño in the heart of the Ribeira Sacra region. The Ribeira Sacra is particularly well-known as a wine-growing area, which now exports its produce around the world. You can find the typical terraced vineyards all along the banks of the river Miño producing high quality red and white wines. There is an extraordinary variety of animal and plant life in the area with oak, chestnut and pine trees. There is also a crystal clear stream at approximately 700 metres from the house with a few water mills (the river Batan).

You can find the main village of Ferreira de Panton (with supermarkets, a health centre, a school, a pharmacy, shops, banks, bars and restaurants, etc.) at 7 km. There is a magnificent Romanesque church at 4 km and within a 20 minutes drive you can visit the town of Monforte de Lemos. This lively town offers many historical monuments and all kind of services and amenities (a hospital, hypermarkets, many local shops, bars and restaurants, etc.). For the golf lovers there are two 18-hole golf courses in the area, at 11 km and 20 km respectively.
