The location is rural and peaceful in a small rural village at a few kilometres from the spectacular canyon of the river Sil. Along the banks of this river you can find typical terraced vineyards, producing Galicia’s best wines. The scenery is stunning, with meadows, hills, woods and vineyards. The region is the Ribeira Sacra, which means “sacred riverbanks, derived from the many churches and monasteries on these river banks, founded by religious orders in the middle ages. You can find for example beautiful Romanesque churches in this area in the villages of Proendos and Lobios. All necessary amenities and services are in the main village of Sober, at a bit more than 3 km. from the property (7 minutes by car).
