Very close you can take the N-120 to Monforte de Lemos, the lively historical capital of the Ribeira Sacra region (at 10 km from the property). Within walking distance, you can find the river Cabe with a nice swimming place for the summer months. Ribeira Sacra means “sacred riverbanks”, derived from the many churches and monasteries on the banks of the rivers Sil, Cabe and Miño, founded by religious orders in the middle ages. A good example is the Knights Templar church within walking distance from the house.
